Our Team
Michael Lawson, Chairman and CEO
Nearly two decades of involvement with the international aerospace community gives Mr. Lawson a unique understanding of the industry’s practical and promotional potential. Previous credits include the 1990 “Take Flight With Ideas” campaign, a cross-promotional partnership between NASA and the Pepsi Cola Company, and NASA’s Lunar Prospector Project. His extensive professional experience has fine-tuned the concept of using airships as cost-effective satellite systems.
Mayo “Biff” Hadden, III (U.S. Army, retired), President and COO
Mr. Hadden served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1993, retiring at the rank of Colonel. His military experience encompassed Infantry and Special Forces assignments. Positions in the civilian sector include Senior Vice President of Economic Development and Military Affairs with the Greater Columbus, Georgia Chamber of Commerce and membership on the Georgia Governor’s Military Affairs Coordinating Committee. He has completed courses in BRAC and Military Base Reutilization and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute.
Thomas P. Tanis, Jr., Executive Vice President, CFO
With a career spanning over 30 years, Mr. Tanis has held numerous executive management positions. He has served as CFO for American Fuel Technologies, Inc. and Blue Sky Communications, Inc. With several years of experience in telecommunications and network computing environments, Mr. Tanis has a clear understanding of the capabilities and potential of the UAV /UAS market.
Scott Manderville, Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer
Following a 20-year career in the U.S. Army, Mr. Manderville retired at the rank of Lt. Colonel. He served as Chief Technology Officer for Syntrex Technologies and went on to found e-Com Solutions, Inc., a web-based procurement company. Mr. Manderville then worked with IBM as the Practice Leader for Next Generation Business, building new service-based annual revenue of $148 million from 2000 to 2003. Since leaving IBM, he has founded Centurist Systems, which merged with ShotSpotter, forming the largest provider of gunshot location technology in the world.
Edward W. Pickett, Senior Vice President, Government Programs
A graduate of the U.S. Army Guided Missile and Radar Electronics School, Mr. Pickett worked extensively with missile and radar tracking systems. Experience in the civilian sector included ground operations for NASA during the Gemini and Apollo programs. He also provided technical expertise for Space Shuttle and Space Station programs.
John Youngbeck, Vice President, Manufacturing
A respected leader in the international transportation and logistics industries, Mr. Youngbeck has served as lead consultant on several projects for Fortune 500 companies, and as CEO of the International Intermodal Expo, one of the world's largest freight transport exhibitions. He has also been Executive Director of the Georgia Freight Bureau and has extensive experience with production, planning, manufacturing and logistics in the airship industry.
Thomas Lee, Vice President, Airship Operations
A retired Commander from the U.S. Navy and still retaining Top Secret DoD security clearance, Mr. Lee has a comprehensive background in all aspects of aerospace management, including operations, project development and personnel training. Prior to joining E-Green Technologies, he served with the Naval Air Systems Command, managing all NAVAIR requirements supporting the Global War on Terrorism and overseas military support operations.
